Hand-made in Ireland

Primitive Boards are boards with a mission: these boards are hand-crafted in the Dublin Mountains and for every board sold, one new tree is planted.

Primitive Boards are hand crafted chopping boards, serving boards and cheese boards in Dublin, Ireland by me, Radek Mara with the intent to create serving and chopping boards so good, you’ll never want to serve or cook with any other board. They are tested and co-developed by professional chefs for durability and size.

The name Primitive comes from my childhood nickname I was given by my friends as we spent most of our childhood in the nearby forest building tree houses, carving simple cutting boards and watching wildlife.

30 years later I returned back to carving wood as a way to focus on creating natural, sustainable gifts.

Purchased mine a year ago and it still looks as good as when we received it! Can’t recommend primitive boards enough, each board is one of a kind and we love serving food on our one, its beauty and craftsmanship is always admired by our guests!

Was given one of these hand crafted works of art for Christmas. Absolutely amazing boards made with skill and passion in equal amounts. Love it.
